Lipotech’s Skin Graft Mesher is primarily used during the process of split-thickness skin grafting. The surgeon harvests the grafts from a donor site and places it on a graft carrier plate which is positioned within the 10 carrier plates for the meshing process. This eliminates the need to change the cutter during operation. After that, the mesher is activated which makes multiple slits or cuts in the skin graft. These cuts form a geometrical mesh pattern (usually diamond-shaped or hexagonal), allowing the graft to expand. This expansion helps in covering a larger area of the recipient site without using more graft material. It is very lightweight and comes with a lifetime warranty. It is handcrafted with premium German stainless steel making it suitable for repeated sterilization and use without degrading.
